Most parents do not know how to control their children with their mobile
The use of smartphones in children is growing
75% of Spanish parents have a relaxed attitude towards the internet and do not take measures to protect their children from the dangers of the Internet. In addition, eight out of ten do not even know the existing tools for the safe handling of these devices , according to data from the survey of S2 Grupo, a company specializing in cybersecurity.
Faced with this situation, Pasiona Consulting, a consulting firm specializing in software development with Microsoft technology, has developed in collaboration with Educo, an application launcher that controls access to content on smartphones and tablets.
The use of smartphones in children is growing, and even children of 2 and 3 years of age usually access their parents' devices. Also, 25.4% of Spanish children of 10 years already have a mobile, a figure that amounts to 50.9% in the case of children of 11 years of age and 93.9% in children of 15 years , according to INE data.
"The solution would be, in the first place, to be aware of the risk, secondly, to train and get informed, and finally, to talk with the children," says Pere Cervantes, head of the Technological Crimes Unit of the National Police of Castellón, in the last report La Violencia Contra la Infancia by the NGO Educo.
The importance and benefits of this application lies in "the possibility for parents to control the content their children can handle when they leave a device", because "it disables access to the files stored in memory, enables or disables access to the image gallery and manage a desktop with the applications that your children can access ", concludes Juan Cuello, head of the Pasiona Mobile team.
