Microsoft wants you to talk to the refrigerator

The creator of Windows expects to install Cortana in all appliances

In April 2014, Microsoft launched its own virtual assistant: Cortana. The voice of the Redmond giant was born with Windows 8, but has become popular with the arrival of the company's latest operating system.

Now the engineers of Bill Gates want that the users speak with the electrical appliances, according to publishes ZDNet after attending a conference of the American company.

The appointment already has a date March of 2017. At the moment, the company is shaping its software requirements to the hardware manufacturers in the preparation of devices that come onto the market.

"Any kind of smart device with a screen can now take advantage of Cortana," explains Microsoft program director Carla Forester in statements collected by ZDNet.

The new update that Redmond's company is working on will allow hardware manufacturers to create devices capable of listening to users and igniting with the voice of their users.

Microsoft has also begun to try some improvements in the user interface to Cortana that make it more immersive to use full screen and with only its voice in Windows 10.

The company of Bill Gates does not commit to develop a specific hardware for Cortana, but it puts the software bases to allow third parties to build devices with screens that will act as a gateway to Cortana in the cloud.
