Facebook will report false news

The social network implements its own 'fact-check' to avoid problems of veracity

The credibility of Facebook is in jeopardy after rumors of false news emerged on its platform. Mark Zuckerberg himself has recognized on his own wall the responsibility of the social network: "We have the responsibility to ensure that Facebook has the most positive impact in the world."

In the next few days, the 1,850 million Facebook users will become supervisors of all news circulating on its walls. This is how the fact-check created by the engineers of Mark Zuckerberg works.

"You will still be able to read and share that story, but now you will have more information about whether the verifiers believe it is rigorous," Zuckerberg explains.

In mid-November, Facebook announced that it would closely monitor the dissemination of misleading or false information that could be advertised. A month later we know that the social network is working in the testing phase a visual warning mechanism that alerts users to the truth of the news.

In addition, technology guarantees that this type of information will be less rigorous or less relevant in the wall and, therefore, less likely to reach users.
